He has extensive experience working with the Department of Homeland Security on a variety of projects such as evaluating threat assessments and response options for antibiotic resistant biological agents, developing models to determine medical responses in response to WMD events, and educating public officials about security related issues.
Casagrande graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University and is a member of the Synthetic Biology Working Group at MIT, a member of the Controlling Dangerous Pathogens Project at the Center for International and Security Studies at Maryland, and is a member of the Association of Politics and The Life Sciences.
